Paul's Charity Challenge!

After his success last year in raising money for the Royal Marines Charity, by completing the Falklands 40 challenge, Paul Goodman has been at it again!

Between 28th May and 2nd June, your favourite personal trainer took to the streets (quite literally) to raise awareness of the number of ex-military veterans that are living on the streets.

Paul lived on the streets with only basic provisions, living off £1 a day for food. All of the money he was given was donated to the Royal Marines Charity.

Thank you to everyone who supported Paul and donated to the charity.

On 21st May 2022, for 3 days, Paul walked 56 miles (90km) wearing 80lbs (36kg) of kit to honour the efforts of 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines ‘Yomp’ from San Carlos to Port Stanley, Falklands for the Royal Marines Association.

The following explains their courageous efforts:

After disembarking from ships at San Carlos on East Falkland, on 21st May 1982, Royal Marines yomped with their equipment across the islands, covering 56 miles (90km) in 3 days carrying 80lbs (36kg) loads.

They were supposed to be transported by helicopter, but after the Atlantic Conveyor, which carried the helicopters, was sunk by Argentinian Exocet missiles, the soldiers had to march across the island to Port Stanley where battle began.

With support of the members of Canalside Fitness, Paul managed to raise over £550 for the Royal Marines Association.
